Peptembo — Privacy Policy

Peptembo does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data.
Everything you enter — peptides, doses, schedules, injection sites, logged shots and any health readings you import — is stored in a private database on your own device. It is never uploaded, never backed up to us, and never seen by anyone but you.
There is no server
Peptembo has no account, no sign-in, and no analytics. The released app does
not hold Android’s INTERNET permission at all, which means it is
not merely choosing not to send your data — it has no ability to. You can check
this yourself against the installed app:

What the app asks for, and why

Data you move yourself
Peptembo can export a backup, and can export or import health readings as an HL7 FHIR file. These use the system share sheet and file picker: you choose where the file goes and who, if anyone, sees it. Once a file leaves the app, this policy no longer governs it — the privacy policy of wherever you sent it does.
If you have taken progress photos, a backup contains them.
It is then a .zip rather than a .json, and the images
are inside it — otherwise restoring on a new phone would silently lose them.
That is worth knowing before you email a backup to yourself or drop it in a
shared folder. A backup made with no photos is the plain readable JSON it has
always been.
A timelapse is your photographs in a file that is easy to send.
The app can build an animated .gif from your progress photos and
hand it to the share sheet. It is assembled on your phone, it is never written
to your gallery, and nothing is uploaded to make it. But a GIF opens anywhere,
which a backup does not — so treat one as you would the photographs themselves.
Whatever you chose to write over it travels with it: the dates, and any
measurement you ticked. Those numbers come from what the app already holds;
nothing is measured from the pictures.
Coaching, if you use it
Peptembo can write two kinds of file so that one person can coach another. There is no account, no server and no connection between the two phones — the app writes a file, you send it however you like, and the other person opens it. Peptembo never knows that happened.
A plan that you send carries protocol shapes — stages, a schedule, times of day — and a message. It names no compound and contains nothing about your own doses, vials or history. To whoever receives it, the app presents it as a suggestion from a person and says plainly that Peptembo did not write it and has not checked it.
A progress report that you send carries the doses you logged in a window you choose, your daily check-in scores, and measurements. It does not carry your progress photos, your notes, your bloodwork, your vials or anything you paid. The app shows you what is in it and how much, and asks, before it writes the file. Once you send it you cannot take it back — that is true of any file you send anybody, and it is worth saying twice here.
A report carries a random identifier for the app install that produced it, so that later reports from the same person can be recognised as theirs rather than as a stranger's. It is not an account, it is tied to no name or address, it means nothing outside these files, and reinstalling the app replaces it.
Reports you receive are stored on your device so you can read them, and they are not included in your own backups — a backup is a file people mail to themselves, and it should not quietly contain somebody else's health data. You can delete everything one person has sent you from the coaching screen.
Deleting your data
Settings → Delete all data removes everything the app holds. Uninstalling removes it too. Nothing is held anywhere else, so there is nothing left for us to delete.
Children
Peptembo is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
